This page contains all the news items regarding the Heritage Oil Sussex Open which takes place over the weekend of the 4th, 5th and 6th July with the SF and Finals of the Mens and Womens event being screened by BT Sport at their studios on the evening of the 7th July. 18th June - Heritage Oil Open 5th/6th July - Draw
The draw has been done for the forthcoming Heritage Oil Open over the weekend of the 5th/6th July.For the Mens & Womens Singles all matches will be played on the Saturday with the Round of 16 & Quarter-Finals from 3pm onwards. The Semi-Finals and Finals are being screened Monday evening of course. There are 30 groups of 4 for Mens and 10 Groups of 4 for the Women. The U21 Men and Women are also on the Saturday. On Sunday it is the Banded Events for both Men and Women.

18th June - Heritage Oil Open - Raffle
At the Heritage Oil Open over the weekend of 5th/6th July at the K2 there will be a raffle with some fantastic prizes. As an example there is a 7-ply, Australian Walnut-Anigre (x2)-Kiri-Anigre (x2)-Australian Walnut. The handle is Gaboon Ebony with a double-dyed Big Leaf Maple buri end cap. Phew! Estimated to be worth £300 by Steve Pound. Here is a picture.
12th June - Heritage Oil Poster
A poster advertising details of the forthcoming Heritage Oil Open can be seen below and also a copy can be found here. Admission to the event is now free with extra sponsorship having being secured. Please print off and advertise in your club. It is a great opportunity to see great players here on our doorstep.
12th June - Heritage Oil Open - Players in the Draw

20th May - Heritage Oil Sussex Open - Now it’s the Polish Coming!
Further to previous news items provided by Steve Pound the organiser for this event in July please see further information regarding the Polish players who will be attending including Filip Szymanski (WR220) who was just beaten by Liam Pitchford at the event last year.
13th May - Heritage Oil Sussex Open - Now Attila the Hun is Coming!
Following on from the French invasion (see news items on the 12th May) Adam Pattantyus (WR86) from Hungary is now attending along with other Europeans from that part of the world. See further information from Steve Pound.
12th May - Heritage Oil Sussex Open - 4th to 7th July - Further Update
Further to the news item on the 9th May Steve Pound had provided information about some of the entries for this forthcoming event and in particular the French stars who will be attending including Abdel-Kader Salifou, (WR101).

30th April - Heritage Oil Sussex Open - BT Sport Screening
Steve indicates some 160 entries and events are mostly full with a top class entry including 20 European players and the England top ten. Further information is on the ETTA website on the following link:
26th March - BT Sport Screening - Saturday 12th July
The event is being held at the K2 Crawley over 5th and 6th July but on Monday 7th July the Men's and Women's Semi-finals and Finals are being screened by BT Sport who are producing a 2 hour Highlights Programme to be broadcast by BT Sport at the peak time of 14:00-16:00 on Saturday 12th July 2014.
26th March - Entries & Entry Form
Entries are flowing in and many including leading English and Welsh players plus Gavin Rumgay and Paul McCreery are using the competition as a warm up event for the Commonwealth Games. There are also some high standard european entries. If you are interested in entering then there are conditions but move fast since it is filling up quickly. 26th March - Heritage Oil Sussex Open - Awareness Campaign
An awareness campaign for the forthcoming Heritage Oil Sussex Open is now well underway. As part of the awareness TT365 have introduced a banner on the event on their front page and so all Leagues that use TT365 should be able to become aware of it (double-click on the banner). Last year TT365 sponsored the "Best Performance" of the weekend which was won by David McBeath for his incredible win against 3 times World Pro Tour champion Abdel-Kader Salifou.
4th February - Heritage Oil Sussex Open - Entry Form
Further to previous news items the entry form is now available for this event on the 4th, 5th, 6th (at K2 Crawley) and 7th July (BT Sports Studio). The schedule for each of the days is on the form but is as follows:
Friday 4th July - Sussex School Games, Junior & Cadet Events
Saturday 5th July - Open Singles Qualification Groups, U21, last 16 & 8 Open Singles
Sunday 6th July - Mens Bands 2, 4 and 6 and Womens's Bands 2 & 4 (am) and Mens Bands 1, 3 and 5 and Women's Bands 1 & 3 (pm)
Monday 7th July - Mens & Womens SF and Final
Details of the prizes are on the entry form and thanks to the sponsors Heritage Oil & Tees Sports and for BT Sport in screening the SF's and Final of the Singles. Closing date for the entries is the 2nd June.
2nd February - Heritage Oil/Sussex Open - BT Sport Screening
Steve Pound has indicated that BT Sport have confirmed to him that they will be doing a live screening of the Mens and Womens Semi-Finals and Finals on Monday 7th July at the BT Sports Studios. The entry form for this event will be available within the next week.
Previous News Items
The event this year is being organised by Sussex County TT Association and in particular Steve Pound and will be at the K2 on the 4th, 5th and 6th July and on the 7th July the Open Singles will be screened by BT Sport at their studios at Olympic Park.
