20th February - Closed Tournament Dates - Brighton

Please note that the Brighton League Closed Tournamentis is scheduled for Sunday 26th March at the Southwick Leisure Centre also starting at 9.00 am for which entry form will be available next week.

18th December - Brighton League - Results Weeks 10, 11 & 12 and News

The Hollingbury Table Tennis Club held its annual quiz on Sunday 27th November in the Function Room, Ladies Mile PH, Patcham. Peter Bartram was the Quiz Master and the club Social Seceretary Ade Akinboyewa wavd his magic wand. Fifty two people took part in the quiz and an amazing £338 raised for the Edward Starr Charitable Trust. Please find the results for recent weeks:

4th November - Brighton League - Hollingbury Annual Quiz

The Hollingbury Table Tennis Club will be holding its annual quiz night on Sunday 27th November in the Function Room, Ladies Mile Pub, Patcham. As always Pete Bartram will be the Quiz Master. If coming aim to arrive at 7 pm for 7.30 pm start and if you can let Ade Akinboyewa ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) know in advance that would be great. The cost per player is £2 and if you are bringing a team (6 players) then let Ade know so that there is some idea of numbers. A  raffle and auction is being held in order to raise money for the Starr Trust (www.starrtrust.com). The Starr Trust supports young people in the BN postcode area aged 10–18 to fulfil their potential through sports, arts and education, by giving a helping hand to achieve their goals at a time when they really need it. Not only do we want this to be a fun packed evening, but we want to make the evening special by raising as much money for The Starr Trust as possible. With this in mind would you please let Ade or I know if you are able to donate a raffle prize or  a prize we can auction - we have been very fortunate over the past years and had some brilliant prizes donated. Please see here regarding prizes.

4th November - Brighton League Results Week 3, 4, 5 and 6

Please find the results for the first two weeks of the season. The Premier matches started in Week 2.

21st September - Season 2016/2017 - Fixtures & Handbook

Please find the Fixtures - Premier, First Division, Second Division - for the season and the Handbook at Draft 2. The 1st and 2nd Divisions started this week and the Premier Division starts next week.

Brighton League Final Mailing and Tables Season 2015/2016

Please find the final two mailings - Number 29 & Number 30 - to end the season. Contained within the lst Mailing is the result of the Premier play-off between Hollingbury A and Brighton City A which was won by Brighton City. Please see the final League Tables with Player Averages for Premier Division, First Division and Second Division

Brighton League Closed - Report

The Brighton Closed was held on Sunday 20th March and there were 43 entries across 7 events. The Men's Singles was won by Mark Collins who beat the number one seed Harry McCarney in a thrilling match. Due to time constraint a First Division Semi-Final and the Final remaining outstanding to be played along with the Consolation Final. Due to various reasons there were limited entries and thus no women events. The results completed are as follow:

  • Men's Singles - Winner: Mark Collins; Runner-Up: Lewis Mayhew;
  • Men's Doubles - Winners: Peter Bartram/Lewis Mayhew; Runners-Up: Mark Collins/Daniel Pound;
  • Men's Veteran Singles - Winner: Peter Bartram; Runner-Up: Faldie Adams;
  • Second Division: Winner: Stefen Klemm; Runner-Up Christian Schneider;
  • Junior Singles: Winner: Ollie Guile, Runner-Up: Billy Keegan;

Brighton League Handicap Tournament - Results  

The League Handicap Tournament took place on the 28th February and please see results for Singles and Doubles. A reminder that the League Closed Event is on Sunday 20th March and please find entry in previous news item.
